Services for Bobby Gene Woods, 80, of Coalgate are at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Tupelo Church of Christ. Wendell Ingram will officiate. Burial will follow at Wilson Cemetery west of Tupelo.
Mr. Woods passed away Friday, Dec. 1, 2017, at a Coalgate nursing home. He was born Feb. 10, 1937, at Clarita to Eugene and Gladys Woods. He attended grade school and high school at Clarita. He graduated from Clarita High School in 1956 and joined the Army in 1961.
He married Faye Claunch Dec. 23, 1958. She preceded him in death August of 1981. He later married Ann Clouse Sept. 6, 1982. She preceded him in death Nov. 10, 2017.
Mr. Woods began a long career with AT&T in 1956 and retired in 1982. He was a long time member of the Church of Christ and a member of the Tupelo Church of Christ.
Survivors include three sisters, Aline Kite, Z.D. Parker and Nell Dennis and her husband Leon; a stepson from his marriage with Faye Claunch, Tony Stephens, and wife Dana; two step-grandchildren including Jennifer Stevens and husband Dean Sliger and Jessica Sliger and husband Chris. From his marriage with Ann Clouse, he leaves four step-children including Vicki Littleton, Steve Clouse, Todd Clouse and wife Sherry, Brenda Stephens and husband Stacey; and 12 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Faye Claunch; second wife, Ann Clouse; and two brothers-in-law, Sam Kite and Oliver Parker.
